Also, to be clear, u/tdov, I am blaming this on Curt Schilling and the way he has chosen to live his life. He is and will forever be a gigantic asshole that reaps exactly the kind of ignorance he has chosen to sow into the world, dumb bullying buffoonery.

How about this? Instead of going after the guys and threatening them with people "he knows in special forces," and getting them fired, kicked out of school, etc (aka spreading more hate and spite throughout the world and engendering what will undoubtedly be an even worse situation then before the whole Twitter-rape ordeal), Schilling could have asked each and everyone of those fucks to dinner, had a real conversation with them about why their comments hurt him and his daughter, thereby humanizing himself and humanizing his attackers and taking the conversation out of the wasteland of the virtual and into concrete reality. Something like this would spread compassion and understanding. Something like this would actually have had the potential to change the hearts and minds of these Twitter trolls. But now that Schilling has responded in an equally childish and hateful manner the outcome can only spin deeper and deeper into hate, spite and anger. Do you think the guy who lost his job is going to have his mind changed? Will anything good come from what Schilling did? No. Either react and respond with love or deactivate your public Twitter account that any fucking idiot knows is connected to a world of hateful trolls. Curt Schilling is an irresponsible father for ever mentioning his daughter on Twitter. You know how you keep your daughter from being shit upon and threatened on Twitter? Don't engage with Twitter. Don't enter the jungle and expect to come out unscathed.
