Daily Discussion

As a Leicester fan I don't seem to recall Kante's season being held in such esteem at the time. Sure, he was great, and a new revelation, but there were two others ahead of him in that team that season (Vardy and Mahrez), and I'm pretty sure that when some people mentioned he was up there with the great PL DMs, they were soon told that people like Makele were well above him and he has a long way to go to be amongst the likes of him.

Don't get me wrong, not criticising, I personally can't do these previous comparisons - my memory isn't good enough, and Kante had me grinning almost every single match that season, he was a breath of fresh air.

And here's the moment he started to make a difference. (See him subbed on in the top left). We went on to win that 3:2, thanks to a concussed Nathan Dyer.
