Daily Discussion for January 24, 2019 // {optional} Thankful Thursday

Spent half my morning arguing chatting with a government body liaison on the other side of the planet. I sent them Document A. They are insisting they receive Document B.

So... Document A can't legally exist without Document B. If you have "A", it is implied you also have "B". Essentially, "A" completely trumps "B". This is GLOBALLY understood. In cases where we have "A", we don't create/maintain "B" anymore. Why? Because, for those in the back, "A" trumps "B".

This is not company or country specific. Again, this is GLOBALLY understood. Well apparently it's not understood by this guy on the other side of the planet. He has a checklist that says he needs "B". He's paid to make sure I send all documents on that checklist. He's not paid to think, he's paid to check the damn box. He is not accepting "A" because it isn't "B". He's threatening to reject my project because he can't think outside of the checklist and use common sense.

I'm not about having an f'ing box checker threaten me with rejection. I fake-nice called his bluff and he's unhappily forwarding "A" on to the actual government body. When it get past this idiot and to the actual government (who are paid to think) it'll be accepted.

I have another project going through this same government body next month... should be fun!
