Dang left-wing *checks notes* scientists!

Well, as someone that's laughed and despaired and felt fury at Trump and all the people contributing to this dystopic trend, I still have some reservations that make it so I can understand a bit where they're coming from.

That is, from my perspective, I'm always wary of what feels like loaded science. Especially the kind with titles that /r/politics would eat up. This isn't to say I don't accept science that is reputable, and if findings are sound then that's all I want and we can work from there.

But let me put it another way, too. If you felt that the other main political "side" was constantly after you and trying to discredit you and monolithically work against you (as it can feel as a Democrat/liberal any time I have the displeasure of seeing Fox News), would you not be skeptical if there were studies being published that - at least in their coverage - seem to make a formal declaration about how you or others like you are cognitively impaired?

And obviously I know about the whole anti-science thing that seems to plague conservatives and everything else I'm sure will get thrown back at me for making this comment. I just wanted to express why I'm not surprised by the reply in the post.
