With the poor critical and audience reception to most of them, I could see people getting sick of Superman and Batman when they should be the biggest draws they have.

I dunno, it's weird. The recent DC movies except WW did nothing for me, but they got me to pick up a bunch of comics and I'm now something of a Batman fanboy.

For me it's not that the movies make me tired of the characters. It's that the definitive version of Batman and Superman are in the comics. Meanwhile, Marvel's definitive versions of their characters is on the main screen and the comics are messy, poorly-plotted rehashes.

Of course the best money is in movies and not comics, so that's definitely not what DC's going for.
