Dear Americans of Reddit, how do you find this first year of Biden's presidency compared to Trump's?

He promised to erase a minimum of 10k in debt per loan holder, even if you're right that there was a process to going about doing so. This changed to him saying he would focus instead on future generations and making community colleges free.

Sanders and Warren have been pushing him hard on forgiveness, citing 50k as a more impactful number, as have many House Reps and Senators. They also pushed him to extend the moratorium, though he refused until just last month for obvious reasons.

IMO, one thing he can do is extend the moratorium indefinitely, essentially limiting or erasing the higher interest rates preventing graduates from paying back their principal balances.
