I agree. Something about Alaska’s energy felt like she wasn’t just there to get the crown, she had a plan to win every challenge and slay every runway so they would simply have no choice but to crown her. I wonder if it’s because Shea came so close to the crown the last time that it was less about making sure she proved she was worthy of it this time around and more like...you already know what I can do, so I’m just gonna do what I do and you’ll give me the crown you already know I deserve. Which is totally fair and valid, but it is slightly less exciting to feel like she (or any of the finalists really) necessarily did that much better than they did on their original seasons.
