The Multishow TV channel (that belongs to Globo TV) tried to produce the Brazilian version in 2018, the famous actor Paulo Gustavo tried everything to make the program work, as he intended to be the director.

The big problem is called TV Record (run by conservatives) the rumors behind the scenes were TV Record bought the rights to the program for three years with the intention of not showing it (boycott) leaving Endemol with financial loss.  I got this information from a friend who works on the TV Record network and he confirmed that channel did everything to boycott the Brazilian version for fear of Drag art growing in Brazil (The main reason was Pabllo Vittar was very famous in Brazil and that bothered the religious)
