Departmental Discussion: Cargonia

Official Cargonian Tips™

[] The Quartermaster has the ability to order equipment for every job, for any thing, for any situation. If it can't come out of the Autolathe or out of a crate, odds are it's a one-of-a-kind item. Tools, gloves, weapons, anything you could ever need is just two minutes away. *This is your greatest strength.

[] Don't take - *trade. Keeping the above in mind, there's always going to be something someone wants. Trading with people, be it for items or favors, will win you more friends and make you less enemies than simply hacking in and stealing whatever you want.

[*] Keeping the above in mind, a robust Cargonian can fill almost any job in a pinch. Tools, gloves and metal will give you access and let you do engineering while first aid kits will round out your medical potential. Handcuffs come from hacked autolathes and high-capacity power cells get turned into stunprods. Food ingredients can be ordered directly, while mined sand can be turned into sandstone, then dirt for growing. All of these crates are not locked.

[*] The tan softcap is the symbol of Cargonia. Wear it with pride.

[*] Rev rounds pivot around Cargonia - Security needs your implants, while Revs can unlock Taser/Laser crates with any Security Officer ID. Even if your preferred side loses Cargo, it can still be crippled by spacing both Supply Ordering Console circuitboards - without either the QM's console or the Cargo Office console orders can't be placed and the shuttle can't be called.

[] TGCode forks: Guncargo *needs emitters. Crates have approximately 1000 health, which is equivalent to about 15 shotgun slugs. Without at least one emitter you're not going to be breaking any crates open anytime soon. Fortunately, you can order emitter crates (locked to CE ID) or trade with Engistan for one of their spare emitters. Or, if you're really crazy, you can go outside and steal one from Singulo containment. Keep in mind that emitters need to be wrenched and welded over powered dotwires.

[*] QM has full access to Mining. In a pinch, you can run over and grab one of their hardsuits. Tancaps look stylish with mining hardsuits.

[*] Request forms show crate contents, as well as who placed the order and for whatever reason they entered. It's handy for checking what's in a crate without ordering it.

[] Utilize the Assistants. Assistants have Maintenance access, there are crates in maint, you need crates. Cargo can order as many insulated gloves, welding helmets and high-capacity power cells as they want. All three of those items are both uncommon and useful to robusters. *Trade.

[*] Establish a reputation. If people know you're robust, they won't fuck with you. If people know you can be trusted, they'll help you out. If people know you're a fuckbucket, they're not going to even give you the time of day.

[*] Fuck paperwork. Nobody ever checks it, nobody ever cares about it. Paperwork exists solely to give people the run-around and screw with people you don't like.

[*] Order Virus Crates if the Virologist or CMO asks. Trust me, they're !!FUN!!. Get the him to vaccinate you though, just in case.
