Did anyone else feel like their hair was totally stripped by Cantu’s sulphate free cleansing cream shampoo?

So I researched deeper into the cleaning agent of this shampoo: cocamidopropyl betaine

This is the website I used: https://madamenoire.com/715198/ingredients-found-in-hair-products-you-should-avoid/

“cocamidopropyl betaine is a chemical that is derived from coconut oil, which gets mistaken as an all-natural ingredient. Some of the adverse effects of Cocamidopropyl betaine are allergic reactions to the scalp and inflammation (dermatitis).”

I think as people with low porosity hair are told to avoid sulphates as we need as much moisture as possible in our hair, it makes sense why we’d pick up this, or other sulphate free shampoos. Though it’s link to coconut oil may be the cause. (I can’t say for sure since it seems like it’s quite a debate whether coconut oil is actually harmful to people with low porosity hair or not.)

Hope this helps!
