Did anyone not attend their graduation ceremony?

I think you’ve just summed up my thoughts about the situation. I thought graduating was a big milestone but I guess no one else was as excited as I was. My parents don’t celebrate anything (birthdays, New Years, Christmas…etc.) so I wasn’t expecting much when I graduated. In fact, we didn’t celebrate at all.

I think I should’ve done something. Whether it was a meal out or to have cooked something special given it was lockdown at the time.

My sister graduated a year before me. My father didn’t go because he didn’t want to and my mother didn’t either but she felt she needed to. She wasn’t excited and it was a little depressing as she wanted to celebrate. I took her out for a meal as the ceremony was lacklustre.
