What Are Your Favourite ‘Big Chain’ Restaurants?

At no point did I say they couldn’t, I said they shouldn’t which is reasonable because you’ve got to be seriously fucking poor for a tenner to be legitimately unaffordable. It’s also in no way similar to those things which are staple items with no real substitutes, especially a smartphone which is quite literally an essential for life nowadays. The difference between that and a takeaway is that you can buy a very decent £4 pizza from a shop and stick it in an oven for 15 minutes. Still very nice comfort food that requires almost no effort on your part.

Also you keep mentioning the wealthy as if we’re actually talking about people with a shit load of money vs those with a bit less. £141 a week after housing costs was apparently considered poverty as of 2019. I used to live on almost half that about 2 years ago and still manage trips to the pubs and takeaways fairly regularly. Should I have, probably not but I did because life would have been fucking boring otherwise. It wasn’t genuinely unaffordable, it was just mildly questionable financial decisions from myself that I in way regret or would change. Going by that margin I’m still technically not that far off it.

I don’t know your living situation but the fact that you can even consider ordering on Deliveroo means that it’s probably not you that I’m referring to because even the consideration of that means that it’s realistically not that unaffordable.

Clearly things are going shit for you and I’m sorry for that and hope they get better.
