‘Friend’ of mine from years ago that I met at college. Being the eldest of four I guess I was looking for an older brother. It was as many years later that I realised how I’d been bullied and belittled by him all that time.

We drifted apart when I got a career and he still bummed around various jobs, complaining that the world wouldn’t give him a chance. Thing is, he was a feckless moron.

He always latched on to younger people and all his girlfriends were significantly younger than he was. His mantra was literally “old enough to bleed, old enough to butcher”. One night my best mate and I ran into him. He was on a night out with some college friends. Yes, he’s gone back to college in his mid-40s and his group were all 16-17 year old lads. He proudly proclaimed that they were “on a pussy hunt”.

He died of MS a few years back. When I was told I gave precisely zero fucks.
