Did you ever have to or choose to let a soulmate or the love of yours go only to realize later in life it was a mistake? Do you ever think of him/her now and how your life could have been if you stayed with him or her?

I met a girl and we instantly fell in love. Being different races didn't matter one bit to us. It was society that split us up no matter how hard we tried to stay together. I've never forgot one second we spent with each other. We went on with our lives. I tried to contact her several times over the years and I'm pretty sure her family thought it was best we didn't communicate and never passed the message on. I've never felt the same way with anyone else. Even after walking away from a 15 year relationship with the most beautiful lady I've ever seen in my life, the memories aren't there. I think of my first real love and I hope she's had a great life. I'd give anything just to spend five minutes with her.
