Think like DiscoDiffusion versus StableDiffusion. SD uses a trick to get the initial noise faster to the end output, but it also means the images in batches look more alike, while the regular Diffusers without this trick have more variation. SD users usually get around that with variation seeds, wildcard scripts or prompt matrixes which add, change or remove words from the prompt to achieve more variation.

DiscoDiffusion is a bad example to compare because of the overview and innercuts, but the rough comparison is correct.
