Discussion | Edgic on /r/Survivor

Personally I would rather have a specific thread posted weekly for edgic conversation, kind of like the weekly episode discussion threads. People can visit that thread and post in it for the week and talk all they want about edgic and the edgic that happened in that episode. It makes more sense to do that, then have multiple threads pop up during the week and having random comments about edgic spread throughout different topics on this board.

Edgic is highly based on spoilers and even when seasons aren't spoiled like Kaoh Rong, there are always other ways to figure out things. Such as twitter and people posting photos. Edgic also can be extremely accurate and so like this season, not a lot of us were surprised when we saw Michele win since it was being predicted as her winning since extremely early on.

In the end though sadly I don't think things will change much. People will still post about edgic but probably disguise it as just their own thoughts. Kind of like how people were "predicting" Caleb to be med evaced.

Also isn't the whole reason of edgic to read so into the edit that you can predict who has a chance at winning and who doesn't? It's obvious from watching Survivor that we do get winner edits in almost every season, except for some random outlier seasons. These people have been doing it for so long they know exactly what to look for to figure out who the winner could be. To me that's pretty close to being spoilers, and I don't want to know every season who the top 3 edgic contenders are since this season was extremely accurate. Didn't they correctly call the final 4 in week like 5? They had Michele, Aubry, Cydney and Tai listed as the potential winners in one of the early weeks and then it had been Michele, Aubry and Cydney for a long time.
