Yeh the backstories are getting a bit much. They get away with it on survivor AUS because they're on the island for 40 odd days and each episode is like double the length of the US.

US survivor, especially now they have reduced the amount of days on the island really need to use the screen time wisely.

If you add up all the backstories and excess tribal time, that's already about an episodes worth of content!

I am actually still enjoying the show (maybe because I started watching when it was past its heyday) but these last 3 seasons just dont feel the same. I really enjoyed s42, but I think that was the cast carrying the show tbh.
