[Discussion] How can only on 2017 still be against multiculturalism?

But I'll answer you, even though this is dull bait: you are constructing a bogeyman that doesn't exist. Look at the surveys and the empirical evidence (which, I know, is very difficult for every fact-denying lefty) and you'll find a majority of Brits don't have a problem with immigration per se. They just don't like the fact that the main British culture is disappearing and made ridiculous. Let's say that with the Millions of Pakistanis, Indians, etc. that have come to the UK since the 50's, Great Britain actually gained something. Cuisine, Music, Fashion, other forms of culture. Let's say that there are 2.000 Pakistani snack bars in London. If the immigration continues at such high rates, there will be 1.000 Pakistani snack bars more in the next years. Alright - but how does that count as diversity? The people were happy when the cuisine in Britain got more 'multicultural'. But aren't there enough foreign restaurants that bring diversity already? How come every culture on earth - even the most barbaric, uncivilised cultures - are something that leftists see as worth preserving, while there is such a disdain for the mainstream culture, the culture of White Brits? Yet it was exactly the Western culture, which left-wingers wrongly see as the source of racism and fascism, that brought democracy, human rights, emancipation and the constitutional state. The ideology of multiculturalism tries to blur the borders between civilised and uncivilised cultures and says that all cultures are somehow equivalent. Criticise Islam and you are branded an Islamophobe and Racist. The expansion of Sharia Law, the acid attacks, honour killings, etc. are the exact opposite of the "modern state" are talking of. In what way is the immigration of Millions of Jew-, woman-, and gay-hating Muslims a good thing for Britain? How did the thousands of abused and raped white British girls profit from diversity?
