First off: i like guns. But i think American gun laws will be detrimental to law abiding gunowners in the long run. For example: the US is looking at banning assault weapons which are and will hopefully remain legal in europe (with a license) and i'm not saying that i agree with gun laws in many european countries either but that's a different story.

I think making it harder for people to buy guns would probably lead to fewer mass shootings but i don't think it should be the main solution.

The problem is that there are so many people willing to harm others in the first place. So Americans need to start looking at the toxic culture that creates this in the first place. It is the main cause for concern as these people could also get their hands on weapons illegally.
