[DISCUSSION] Top 5 albums of the year so far, pop or otherwise?

imo, this is a great year for music. 2014 wasn't that good, 2015 was good, but this year is great. consistently, we're given more and more solid albums, and i think the shift to streaming has brought that. my top 5 of the year:

  1. coloring book // chance the rapper

  2. untitled unmastered // kendrick lamar

  3. the life of pablo // kanye west

  4. love you to death // tegan and sara

  5. malibu // anderson paak

and 6-10, just to back that up:

  1. holy ghost // modern baseball

  2. views // drake

  3. a moon shaped pool // radiohead

  4. the white album // weezer

  5. lemonade // beyonce

considering most of my list so far is hip-hop, it's safe to say that this is one of the best years for modern rap in recent memory. we have albums dropping from all the hottest in the game right now: kanye, kendrick, drake- we can even throw chance up there considering the traction he's getting, as well as other artists who obviously are on the insane come up: schoolboy q and lil yachty among them. as a hip-hop fan, i'm happy with this, and the pop game is also spot on as well.
