Doctor Who: 2017 Christmas Special Trailer and Speculation Thread

I'd be more excited if they'd have actually given us something, just...some kind of resolution. The whole episode just...fell apart at the end.

I don't even know why Missy, or the Master was even in it, to be honest. None of them did anything, and the episode would have been exactly the same without them. I feel like Simm was so wasted... And I really really hoped Moffat would finally actually kill a companion, after the awful ending Clara got. And then...he just repeated Clara's death for Bill. I mean, he literally just gave Bill the same ending that he gave Clara. And then they just abandoned the Nardole/Cybermen plot, so we just...don't know what happened? And then I saw the twist at the end coming, because at the beginning of the last episode they shown him regenerating in the snow, and the first Doctor regenerated in the snow, surrounded by 60s Cybermen, so it just sorta felt obvious where it was going. I just felt like there was no resolution? Did the Master regenerate? Did Missy die? Did Nardole escape with the children? Did the Doctor regenerate? No idea, because they didn't bother to answer any of them. And sure, they could answer those questions in the next episode, but that's Christmas. It was really cheap to just leave so much of the episode hanging like that. And the Cybermen reverted back into unthreatening stomping metal men again.
