Does anyone else find themselves liking the concept of playing games more than actually playing them?

With video games, yes 100%. So many times i hype myself on these new exciting games that i start playing and realize i dont want to dump 10s or hundreds of hours into.

With board games, nope. Playing them is 100% what im here for and the magic is still there every time. They are so fun, have great mechanics, dont involve screens, and bring me closer with people. I struggle to find other activities that come close in enjoyment.

The struggle with board games though, and the reason a lot of the games i buy take forever to be played, is the commitment of getting multiple adults in one space all ready to commit to playing (and often learning) the same game. That’s a challenge, but really worth it when it comes together.
