Why does Michael Silver dislike Chip Kelly?

Hmmm, I think you are mistaking Chips dealings with the media for the way he deals with real people in his day to day life. Almost everybody who's ever worked with Chip says that he doesn't deal with people the same way he deals with the irritating press.

Also, you are operating under the assumption that reporters are automatically in the right. That's not true.

Chip rubs alot of people wrong because he rejects the status quo and always seeks to find a better way rather than just saying, 'this is how its always been done, so this is how I will do it.' If Chip had that status quo attitude, he never would've transformed oregon so radically, or risen as high as he has. So far, his self assuredness and lack of any ability to suffer fools who waste his time has gotten him far.

Also, you say its exhausting for these poor reporters to have to go into any conversation with Chip and have to be as sharp as he is? That's just laughable. Oh no! those poor poor shit eating reporters that will trash Chip and his team no matter what he does might feel slighty uncomfortable at a person who doesnt put up with their shit? Laughable. And why are they interviewing and/or asking Chip questions if they themselves don't have all the facts? Sounds like piss poor journalism and a general lack of respect for Chips knowledge/occupation. Chip has demonstrated time and again that if you come to the table with a good question and/or knowledge, he will reciprocate in kind, but if you bring shade, passive aggressiveness, loaded questions, he will also reciprocate in kind.

I feel the same way as Chip does re: small people who think they have a right to my respect/courtesy when they show absolutely none themselves.
