Does this new update help with the processing power of the computer in the Xbox?

Keep in mind this is marketing-speaked up to sell a product. There are other videos where they go into gory details about hyper-v etc on youtube but this is a good starting point. Search is your friend.

They go into it a bit here. I know Boyd and it's kind of odd they have the guy talking here. He isn't much of a sociable person. The other two are not engineers, rather bullshitters that can speak to the public. Basically it was Dave Cutler (The dude MSFT bought from IBM, and a few others) that picked that design. Because why the fuck not?

It was a cool idea back then, but in reality, forced resources to always be 'reserved' is stupid. I think they thought 'snap' would be an always-on killer feature.

I don't blame these guys for coming up with a solution to a problem. It's not 'DUMB'. The 'DUMB' is the product they were told to create. In hindsight, since most people didnt use snap, it's stupid.

Old news, snap is gone, but this is what it was
