Why does it seem like people don't appreciate what HiRez does for us?

Your solution would be to not tell HiRez when they've done something wrong, and to only praise them when they're done something right.

I can't speak for everyone, but on my own, I praise HiRez plenty enough, but praising them on reddit would just be kissing ass.

"Look at me, everyone. HiRez is awesome. To the frontpage so HiRez can see!"

You only see negative comments because they're usually about game balance and changes, which are on-topic and relevant to this subreddit.

You don't see positive comments, because they're usually ass-kissing, or you're ignoring the positive discussion about a new change, because it's not directly kissing HiRez's ass.

For example, I thought the new CTF was good, so I posted a quick 'for dummies' guide.

That is praise. I gave players a basic understanding of the mode, and how to play it, because I clearly liked it. If I didn't like it, I would've been more satirical, or said I didn't like it.

Keep it up and ignore the negative people.

What a damn brown noser.
