Back in 1975, women and men murdered each other at just about identical rates. At the same time though, feminists pushed the lie of patriarchal violence where a woman only ever was violent in retaliation and that even then, they hardly ever committed violence and it was almost always male perpetrated. This dishonestly led to women's shelters opening up while male shelters were viciously protested against.

What ended up happening was that with more women's shelters opening up, women stopped killing their husbands as much and the rate started going down because women had an out instead of being trapped with someone they despised, and lots of women who are admitted into dv shelters are themselves abusers rather than abused. So great, dv shelters for women which helped them and lowered their homicide rates, except men never got the same benefit because of falsehoods painting men as always being the primary aggressors to women.
