It’s thinking like yours that promotes corruption in our society. Diversity quotas are to level the playing field. Black Americans are incarcerated 5x more than white people even though they are the minority. Why is this? It’s because many (not all) come from rough places because they don’t have the same stability you do. They don’t have property, inheritances, etc to fall back on. They may come from broken homes. All because of the way their lineage was discriminated against. Meanwhile your family may have been building for generations. While they have to start from scratch. This can lead to some of them to playing dirty to get theirs which goes back to my point about incarceration. Minorities need opportunities and maybe you need to start working harder if you feel so threatened by someone who has less than you. They need networks, they need to get into better schools. Have you even seen the way these schools are funded in places primarily colored areas? It’s sad these middle schools may not even have a band while the white schools have every team you can think of. They may not be able to afford the tutoring for SAT prep and it shows. The ambitious students in these neighborhoods very well deserve to get where they are going. I recommend you step outside your neighborhood and just observe past the cultural differences and economic differences and think about what it would be like to grow up in a society where your educational needs are ignored. And white folks still wonder why there is so much resentment towards them in black people’s heart.
