Why don't the nurses just go on strike?

I used to work in a hospital and this is fairly correct. The HSE is in utter shambles and the lack of resources we had in the hospital was shocking. I saw people die due to inadequate access to proper treatment and doctors, no joke. The spread of infection is rampant too with lack of proper facilities, and large open bed wards that are so old and dilapidated.

I work for the ambulance service now and it's the same story. We're treated like shit and the pay is a joke. Morale is non existent.

Why don't we strike? Because the unions don't give two fucks about us. They're more interested in fighting for the luas and bus drivers massive salary increase, or the train drivers moaning about their €500 christmas bonus.
