I don't really follow college basketball. Who are some players to look out for in the 2015 NBA draft?

I figure most of the comments will cover the T-4 (Okafor, Towns, Mudiay, Russell), so I'll stick with Stanley Johnson, who happens to be from my hometown!

In terms of style of play, he's already built like a tank and a beast on defense. Some think he could be Artest-ish on that end. On offense, he's got some kinks to work out, but he's constantly been improving on that end. In high school, he went from being an offensive zero to starting at point guard. He can do a little bit of everything, and if he can really max out his talent, I could see him being Joe Johnson-lite on offense.

Most importantly though, this is a kid who you can't help but root for. Fantastic attitude, humble, and hard working. If you haven't already, watch this fantastic documentary on his high school career -- really does a good job covering how hard he worked and sheds light on the type of kid he is via interviews with family/friends/coaches.

There's an awesome Stanley Johnson anecdote (which involves Arron Afflalo) from the adidas Nations games last summer. You can read the rest on it here, but here's the relevant excerpt:

Johnson immediately proved that he had the assertiveness and body to compete with an NBA player. He was able to gain separation from Afflalo when needed and in the paint, Afflalo had to work to match up against his strength. On the other end of the floor however, Afflalo put together a masterful session about the cerebral aspect of the game. He curled off screens and drifted into the corner for a wide-open triple. Buckets. Stanley was always a step late on these plays—Afflalo worked smarter, using his teammates and the angles of the court to set him free.

It was rewarding to watch as a spectator, and the best moment may have been when Afflalo was subbed out. As he reached the bench, Stanley, tired from chasing him all over the offensive end—came over and hunched down to talk while grabbing his shorts for air. He looked Afflalo in the eyes and said, “You need to teach me—I want to learn everything.”
