Dr. Hinshaw said she ‘understands’ Antimaskers’ frustrations. Did she say she’s okay with Antimasker rallies being held? I thought outdoor social gatherings are not allowed.

We might be talking about two different groups of people. The ones I was referring to are the ones who join anti-mask groups and try to actively subvert the rules around mask-wearing. They have several groups on Facebook. Those are the conspiracy theorists.

The other ones who might be considered "anti-mask" might be skeptical as to whether its necessary but they go along with it when required to do so. If that's who Deena Hinshaw was referring to, then I agree they are not yellow-vesters. However, they are very vulnerable to all the memes and misinformation perpetuated by the yellow vesters.

Your point about economic despair is one I totally agree with. I wish the prov. govt had acted earlier and stronger to make sure that at least economic support was readily available to these people. Combined with a solid public education program (not just repeating the same things in the same way on TV and on the AHS site) might have gone a long way to gain their trust and patience. I'm not sure if saying things like "I understand your frustrations" is enough.

Especially since Kenney has done the exact opposite, even the other day, allowing the cabinet meeting (or whatever it was) to proceed without them all wearing masks. In my view, that actually increases the frustrations because it creates more ambiguity about whether or not this is all necessary.
