You are forgetting just how shallow people are when it comes to voting for candidates. Look at anyone, from Trump to Obama to Bush to Clinton. People told me they voted for Clinton just because he is funny. People told me voted for Bush because he was a southerner. People told me they voted for Obama because they wanted a black president. And people told me they voted for Trump because he isnt politically correct.

Most voters out there have no idea about a candidates policy, agenda, or platform. They just listen to how media portrays them and go off that. I bet half of the people who browse r/politics only read the headline and rush strait to the comments. I also bet anyone agreeing with the title can not name a single one of Biden's policies.
