Drugs overwhelmingly won the War on Drugs

Stigma against treatment has nothing to do with people getting addicted in the first place. Regardless of your conditions afterwards, that first time, it was your bad choice to do drugs. And most overdoses aren’t people “not knowing what their getting”, they’re either suicide attempts or dumbasses trying to do more than they can handle. And any overdose is your own fault anyways, because again, it was your choice to start doing drugs in the first place. As for the “functional addict” thing, that’s because most people think, for some reason, putting in an hour of effort and then staring blankly at a cubicle wall for another 7 hours, before going home and watching Netflix the rest of the day counts as “productive”. Believe me, I’ve met a lot of people that smoke weed, and literally ALL of them are lazy as fuck and accomplish almost nothing.
