No Conspiracy, and Correct, There is no official information. The reporting has everything fucked up. They’re reporting it as polyvinyl chloride when in reality that’s the polymer made FROM vinyl chloride. The reason that distinction is pertinent is VC is extremely hazardous. PVC is a plastic end product used in basically everything. Vinyl chloride boils at 8 degrees fahrenheit so it’s shipped in its liquid form. Meaning that when these trains crashed they weren’t just leaking, they were spewing boiling liquid (gaseous VCM). OSHA permissible limit of how much you can be exposed to in an 8 hour shift at 1 part per million. prior to this the biggest spill was in new jersey with one train car carrying 23k gallons. this crash in ohio has 5 cars crashed that can carry between 25-33k gallons. so what was spilled was over 200,000 pounds of vinyl chloride per car. that’s almost a MILLION POUNDS OF THIS TOXIC CHEMICAL SPILLING INTO THE GROUND AND BOILING OFF INTO THE AIR. But then it caught on fire. This is where the reporting is really bad because nobody is mentioning what the many byproducts of VC burning is, being hydrogen chloride. it is extremely unstable and latches onto water vapor in the atmosphere. and that turns into hydrochloric acid. so right now govt officials, NFS officials, governor or PA and OH are calling burning off a million pounds of this shit a success. but not mentioning that it means that we have hundreds of thousands of acid in the air. potentially. the responsible party, NFS, plays down the severity of the situation. politicians also repeat the same lines. and then news outlets regurgitate that bullshit. so all we are hearing is the liable, responsible party’s “word”. You will see catastrophic results to the environment from this. Animals crops vegetation humans in the near areas will all be affected significantly. You will see dead and diseased animals in no time.
