ELI5: Could quantum entanglement be used to send data across extreme distances? Could this be why astronomers don't see radio evidence of alien civilizations? Because quantum entangled communication devices wouldn't emit RF for Humans to detect?

Let's say I have a spacecraft. On this spacecraft is two items. A remote control camera (lets say it has an amazing zoom and can see back to Earth) and 1 entangled particle. The other entangled particle is kept on the ground, and the spacecraft with its camera and entangled particle is sent 1 light day (1013 meters) away. So this happens, and we wait a few days. Now something happens here on Earth, a murder for example, and we don't know who the killer was. But wait, the light from Earth is only reaching our spaceship from yesterday so from the spaceships perspective the murder hasn't actually happened yet.

So (lets just pretend this was possible) we now have a means of communicating faster than the speed to light to our spaceship. Instantly in fact. So a few minutes before the murder takes place we tell the remote control camera to point towards the location of the murder so it can film exactly what happens.

But wait, now the spaceship can see into the future. So, since we have this communication method that is faster than the speed of light, why don't we just use another entangled particle to tell Earth that a murder is about to happen. This would mean we could tell the spaceship that a murder was about to happen, and the spaceship could tell Earth that a murder was about to happen.

But it gets even weirder. Since Earth now knows about the murder, the police step in and prevent the murder from happening. Since the murder didn't happen, our ground control base doesn't send the message to the spaceship. Therefore the spaceship doesn't tell Earth about the murder. So does the murder happen?

This is why communication just can't travel faster than the speed of light, be it by Quantum Entanglement or any other means. It would just mess up with time too much, and with our understanding of physics and maths just can't work.
