Pool safety

Is this a cry for help?

If so...

If you need 20K$ worth of repairs (then yes, get the baby fence and don't show her how to do it), and if you have the money for it, go for it.

Pool baby fences/barriers... do a google search - plenty to choose from.

Of course you should have door locks but you should be able to get out them easily in case of an inside emergency - so nothing goofy like knobless deadbolts. What if YOU can't get to the back yard quickly? It's not just your kids who're gonna fall in that pool.

Filling one in, last I did, cost the customer about 9,000 usd. It's not as straightforward as the phrase "just fill it in" makes it sound.

Soo... if you like the pool, and can see the future where you have breakfast, haul the kids out and toss them in the pool, bring them out to feed them lunch and then toss 'em back in the pool, then haul 'em out for supper, run 'em under a shower, and they are out like lights. A pool is a fantastic thing to have with kids, even small ones. Take your children to the YMCA - they have a "waterproofing" program that will teach your kids how not to drown. Infants can do it.

Of course when they turn 15-16 and get a driver's license... that's about it for the pool activity.

Good luck with your decision.
