When my husband and I were just dating, I was asking his parents for dumb, mildly embarrassing stuff in front of him, like "ohh did he ever get in trouble at school?" etc etc...

It turns out that on a field trip to the park when he was 6, his dad caught him beating this other kid's ass behind a tree and yelling "I TOLD YOU NOT TO LITTER" and "YOU'RE MESSING WITH TEXAS" between punches (there's an anti-litter campaign called "Don't Mess With Texas" that I remember being particularly prevelant in the 90s).

I felt like I had to share, because I always ask him if he is okay when we see someone littering in parks now. Anyway, good on you for yelling at that douche. I honestly don't get people who think the world is their trash can.
