While in 3/10 we were forced to do this chant before driving into the parking lot, if they're open, the spots must be used! The engineers were specially trained in disguising random as command spots, forcing joes to walk much further than necessary. Junior enlisted were forced to park to the 3/10 standard, if they didn't make it, we beat them to death with tire irons. Overnight parkers were booted, sometimes for weeks at a time. We were forced to watch dashcam videos of "parking like an new yorker" and had to cheer everytime. I GOT THE FUCK out of 3/10 after that, I walked right up to my company commander and told him I REFUSED to pass up an open spot just so 1SG didn't have to walk a bit. He laughed in my face, so I beat him to death and said "this is for the asphalt". I stole his van and drove home, they mailed me my dd-214 later because what I did was so illegal noone wanted to investigate it.
