European student vs University of Northen Denmark vs Dania Academy

First of all, the schools you are applying to in Denmark are not what we consider "universities". They are a level lower than regular universities. You will not be receiving a bachelor degree. I hope you realize this.

With that said, i have lived in Viborg and i am currently living in Aalborg.

Of the two, i vastly prefer Aalborg.

Money. I am not a big spender but I like food, sport, socializing and computers. So, if you guys would tell me some euro prices for things related to these activities, I would tremendously appreciate it.

Aalborg is a genuine student city, with an actual university campus, around 20-30 thousand students live in the city and go to school. This means that the programs and activities in the city are much more likely to be geared towards young people and students (read budgetwise) than in Viborg.

Viborg looks nice and have a vibrant city centre, but the city is much smaller than Aalborg and it doesn' actually have a campus to speak of.

Prices for food are pretty much the same in each city. If you want to go to net-cafes then Aalborg easily has the better selection and prices (i'm not even sure Viborg has one). If you want to go out and drink/get gurrrls, Aalborg once again is by far the best city. It is the home of one of the more famous streets in Denmark, called Jomfru Ane Gade, which is basically a street with nothing but bars and clubs.

If you want to play sports, i am sure that either city will be able to acommodate your interests, but Aalborg is still bigger.

Accomodation-wise, both universities (academies) said that they will help me find a room either in their campuses or in housing complexes (I don't know how you'll call them - room thingies). But they don't say how much the rent would cost. And they don't mention how are the rooms equipped - is there a kitchen? do I have to bring my own pillows ans stud? where do I wash my clothes? Do you have any idea? Also, is Denmark like Germany in the sense that regular people have their own houses or they rent their homes?

Both cities have housing complexes (kollegium) but i don't know about the system in Viborg as i never used it. In Aalborg however i have lived in 3 different "student" apartments (cheap rent, other students live near you, common areas for group use).

They have all had basic kitchen features. One of them did however only have a very basic hotplate/mini-oven combo that couldn't cook for shit. It took me 60 minutes to make a god damn lasagna.

My girlfriend tells me that not all apartments have kitchens, but will instead have to share a common kitchen area. Same goes for bathrooms. These are generally the smallest and cheapest of the apartments however.

Washing your clothes will generally be done in a shared washroom where you'll pay per use.

But I don't know about job opportunities. As soon as I will arrive to uni I'll have to go find a part-time job. I am not picky - be it retail, cleaning... you name it, I've done it before. Is it easy to find jobs?

No, it's not easy to get a job. But i'm sure that you will be able to find something, as long as you aren't picky. Aalborg is better again, as it is a bigger city with more opportunities.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
