Every motion that was passed today at BMA Junior Doctors Conference 2023.

Motion 6vi - this seems to be taking the frustration about "noctors" too far.

It is difficult to deny that some MAP's are truly experts in their fields.

This would make getting sign offs harder, limit progression .

Why should an ACP specialising in respiratory medicine not be able to assess a medical student OSCE for a respiratory exam, for instance?

Can you imagine an ultrasonographer, for example, ever demonstrating something to you, that you wouldn't have known otherwise without their expertise, as this is what they do day in, day out? I think that being examined by them would mean that it would be a more thorough and true-to-form examination- if they think you are good enough to pass, then that must be a good thing, ultimately you reach the standards for optimal patient safety. This is as opposed to a doctor who does ultrasonography sometimes, and although they know what they are looking for, how to perform the examination, it isn't their total focus. This is obviously just an example, but hopefully you can see what I am getting at here.

I think this part of this motion would be stabbing ourselves in the foot as junior doctors.
