Everything in this 1991 Radio Shack Ad you can now do with a smartphone so I'm guessing it's why they no longer exist.

My smartphone is awesome but I will really miss radioshack. I still have all kinds of stuff from radio shack. Back in the day they had some really high quality stuff!

My first rc car, 1st grade. My first tape recorder, kindergarten. My first cell phone. All kinds of great things. I even got my first subwoofers there and they still work great. Sitting right in front of me.

But it's not just that. It's the cozy feeling of a small neighborhood store that I'll miss. Parking right at the door, walking right on in to their little home and being surrounded by all kinds of neat gadgets and gizmos. And the employee always seemed to know what you needed.

The countertop at best buy can't be any bigger than the ones in radioshack, but somehow they seem incredibly larger. At radioshack you felt like shaking the guys hand after he sold you a part. You don't get that feeling anywhere anymore.

I still remember how my dad spoke highly of radioshack, and even my grandpa. Now radioshack is a part of the past. Like an old photograph of the good old days we remember so fondly. It will never be again. Today, we walk through giant warehouses filled with all different kinds of people. The products are cheaply made, and technology has lost it's magic.

Remember going to the grocery store as a small child? Why does that store, and the people that were in it, seem so much more special than anything that could ever exist today? Why does everything in the past seem so precious, but the present seems... like an empty replica of the wonderful and joyous world that once was?

Where I can find the special cozy world that I used to live in? I think I'll find it in love. I think I've lost all my love. I don't love anyone anymore! I think when I'm in love the world will be worth taking photos of again. When I finally have good people in my life again, I will shop in radio shack with them. I'll be ready, with my smartphone, to take all the photos I want. :)
