Explanation of the subtle differences between equality and equity

This isn't honest. Look at the middle one (equity) - "everyone gets the support they need", and they even mention affirmative action.

Equity (and affirmative action) requires discrimination. So to ensure you have an equal number of women, blacks, etc., in college or whatever, you have to discriminate against men, Asians, etc., who may have better scores or abilities.

So it's literally the opposite of "everyone gets the support they need". It's "some people get extra support, others get held back".

To give a sports example, it like the Olympics forcing black sprinters to wear body weights so the Asians and whites have a better chance of winning.
