I think the fact that K-pop is less "sexual" than western pop is not necessarily a good thing

I agree but with a caveat. Cute concepts are totally meant to evoke a sexual response. They're relying on a pretty sexualised and fetishised trope - the innocent, non-assertive, sexy but unaware woman who would only change for one man. People who don't get the subtext are either hypocrites or exasperated women.

Apparently, sexiness is a problem when a woman knows it and owns it. Or when she tries to be assertive about it.

I don't like the graceless, body-part-referencing lyrics of some Western pop songs (Nicki or Cardi B) but I get how it's liberating to be unapologetic about themselves and kind of take ownership of their own commodification. It makes me a little angry to see these people mocked for being unwomanly or unclassy, when Korean GGs are also pretty much targeting a sexual response but in a more socially accepted, passive, women shouldn't be too much! kind of way.
