Do y'all plan to live here the rest of your lives or nah?

I’m from the west coast but live in Porter County. It seems that most/all of the natives tell me they’re only here because their families are here, or because working at the mill is such a good opportunity. I’d move around and explore as much as possible.

I’m just waiting for the right circumstances to fall into place so I can gtfo. I’d at least rather be in Lake County or Michigan City.. it’s pretty boring here. There are truly many things I’ve liked about this unique region, but with covid making all the nearby cities and summer festivals shut down and beaches closed or crowded, with Holcomb meanwhile not enforcing the mask mandate etc, being surrounded by anti-maskers and Trump fans and such flat land... 2020 has made me really not like living here. I’ve lived and traveled all over the country and there are just so many other places to be. At least find some mountains.
