Fantastic Beasts director reveals how sequel handles Dumbledore being gay

I don't agree, Dumbledore's sexuality was obvious when it came time to learn about him and Grindelwald. LGBT characters, and people for that matter, don't need to be overt. Not every LGBT person discloses their orientation and not every LGBT person adheres to stereotypes; people in this thread are saying JK should have made it explicit that he was gay meanwhile they say "how difficult is it to write a same sex relationship, just write it as a heterosexual one"- well which is she supposed to do, because that's fairly hypocritical. Reading how Dumbledore and Grindelwald interacted with each other and how they felt with each other it's obvious it was more than just friendship. If some readers can't pick up on context clues and foreshadowing then that's their own shortcoming.

And yes I did read it, but those two series are pretty different reading levels- Rowling doesn't, and shouldn't have to be, as straightforward as SoUE sometimes is, her writing is great because of the nuance and small details.
