I've been an United fan for 20 years or so, and I was a Fiorentina fan much because of Batigol and Rui Costa back then, and then after some hiatus from football I got hooked in Milan (much thanks to an online forum), but my interest in Italian football more or less died with Fiorentina's bankruptcy and Calciopoli, and nowadays I only watch Premier League really.

I also used to follow Djurgårdens IF in my national league team, but my interest in Swedish football has been dead for a while (at least in terms of watching - I keep up with the news somewhat at least).

That said, if I ever get back into these leagues I'll stick with these teams. Sometimes the interest comes back eventually (like my NHL interest did after ten years of not watching). So the above ones I'd actually say I'm a fan of, even if my interest currently is on the down-low.

Then, if we're going strictly by "team I prefer", then I can probably list a couple, for various reasons. For Germany, it'd be 1860 München, don't ask me why though, it was probably due to the logo and the fact they had a year in the club name. For France, it'd have to be Sochaux, mainly because I had one of the most anticlimactic FM-saves ever with them, where I got to cup finals constantly and lost every single one of them. For Spain I'd have to pick Valencia, mostly because I reaaaaally liked Pablo Aimar once upon a time.
