Realistically though, when we're dead and in that place (or non-place) that will come with being disembodied it will be as if death itself will have never existed. So what's there to worry about?

As far as I'm concerned death is a pretty big enemy and like all the good (and bad) faithful I await the day when death will finally be crushed under the foot of the Son of Man once and for all.

Of course, to experience such I will probably have to die first - - along with everyone else (and every thing) I have ever loved.

I guess it's about just "believing". . . . though anymore that idea bothers me, and religious fanatics can pay attention here: as somebody who has been in a mental institution, and been a witness to mental illness in others his whole life, I really have to ask what is "real"? So if I die in delusion does it make it true? We all just pick a religion and stick with it just to justify it?

God (or my schizophrenic brain) has led me, personally, all over the board searching for what is "real": Truth.

I have an atheist friend and he says God isn't real, and that science has liberated mankind from the superstitious thought that characterizes religious sentiments. He says pretty much every thought and feeling we have is just produced within our own brain, and realistically that makes a lot of sense. Like if you think someone is mad at you, but they're not and it's just your own fears, etc? Ya know?

Everything is in our head, including our perception of the world and stuff. Does it mean Jesus existed or didn't exist or anything, I don't know. I keep coming back to the idea that Faith is essential to the religious process but I really feel like saying "Stuff it!" to Faith and just focusing in on Compassion for right now.

What does it even matter if none of this is real. . . they crucified Our Lord ! ! ! ! ! !

Death - - meted out with humiliation, and contempt, to the Son of Man Himself!!!!

So bring it on!
