Fecal Incontinence

I'm someone who originally suffered from the same symptoms as you. But what saved me... is that there is always that "Glorious Wonder Drug Imodium"!

(Aka: Loperamide hydrochloride).

Interestingly, this over the counter drug (or behind the counter, just ask your pharmacist drug, depending upon where you live), was also highlighted in a study I read, showing reduced risk of brain cancer of all things.

So ya... I guess if that study is true, then you can reduce the rate of these bowel incidents, all while also having a bit of extra protection against brain cancer!?

Anyways: whatever the case, I personally take a couple of Imodium tablets, maybe on 2 days per week, in most instances, give or take, and seems to help me MUCH better regulate. So ya... I personally don't need a lot of doses of this drug, but a small amount here and there really helps.

All that said, this is highly ANECDOTAL information I'm presenting to you here.

You are in a bit of unique situation compared to me, in that you've had gastric bypass.

Thus... BEFORE you start any medications that random Redditors like me talk about... be ABSOLUTELY sure to talk with your doctor about that.

And also see what other confirmed-doctors here have to say.
