Lol thanks that helps put things in perspective! Next time I'll be more careful of what I post where, lol. I got the idea to make the post because I was watching an eye make up tutorial and the girl was doing close ups of her face. You could literally see the foundation sitting on her skin and idk if it was foundation or concealer, but it was visibly painted underneath her eyes and looked creasy and was settling in her lines, I'm sorry but it looked so gross and unnatural. You could also tell she had heavy bronzer/contour on. On top of all that she had heavy black eye liner and was showing how to apply gold pigment to her eyelids, topped off with thick fake eye lashes (which she coated in clumpy mascara) and was already wearing colored contact lenses. In my head, I genuinely questioned how women/girls feel beautiful/pretty in that kind of make up. I mean, the mirror is there, I'm sure they can see the foundation/concealer crusting and creasing under their eye lids and flecks of mascara and eye shadow falling on their face. Instead of feeling pretty, I'd feel insecure wearing all that make up and looking so unnatural, but maybe that's just me and I just prefer lighter makeup (we also hear from men how they prefer skillfully applied at least or light make up) and that's why I got so much hate on that sub.
