Finances

My DH has 2 kids and we have 2 babies together. He makes about 3x more than I do. He pays the mortgage, property tax, cell phones, cable, car insurance, car payment, health/dental insurance, and approximately 75% of the food.

I pay for electric, gas (heat), daycare for our 2, diapers/wipes, 25% of food, and activities for our kids.

It breaks down to him paying for about 5,000 a month in expenses and I’m paying about 4,000. So it’s not a good deal for me relative to how much more he earns, but he pays a lot of CS, alimony and I am just better at managing money.

He does all landscaping, all grocery shopping, most of the cooking, and a bit of childcare/cleaning. I do the majority of childcare and cleaning. We have a lot of responsibilities and it seems we both do a lot of tasks.
