First Time Cruise Review - Norwegian Getaway - 7 Day

The port of Miami tunnel was closed the previous day and several of their other NCL ships rerouted. We just wanted to know where to get information since we were driving and it was a very sensitive time line. The timing was EXTREMELY close. The hurricane just brushed past Miami LUCKILY but in case it did not, we just wanted to know if it was already rerouted or cancelled. I just wanted to KNOW that it wasn't rerouted, so I don't understand why it was so reasonable. And she was super bitchy and basically said fuck off in so many words. She could have just said, "No, we are not rerouting" instead she said "don't call unless the port is closed." Well the port wasn't closed but the tunnel to access it sure was. Were we supposed to magically catch a helicopter?

They charged us for the Margaritaville food even though we had the specialty dining package. We were told that the dining package was free specialty dining. And even if we had known it was only applicable to four meals, they should have automatically applied the very first specialty dining credit to that meal, but they did not. We were at first told that we had to tell them to take it off our package. We asked two different people at guest services and they gave us different answers. They said they would refund it and put the credit towards 1 of the 4 in the package but they did not. We had to talk to yet another person to get them to apply the credit. Even if we had looked up every restaurant on board on their website and committed it to memory, it would have made no difference because they should have applied the credit anyway, but nobody would tell us what the proper protocol was for trying to get them to do it. We even told the waiter, "hey, we don't know how the specialty dining works, we have this thing on our card, what do we do?" And he told us our bill was ONLY for the port tax, which made no sense because we had the package. Instead we were charged for two meals.
